Nomad S1E W

The Nomad S1E W is the new, lightweight Nomad.

Key Features:

• Easy to carry — no coaming frame required.
• Quick On and Off: Makes getting in and out of the packraft faster and more convenient.
• When you get hot during long paddling sessions, you can remove the rear deck and hook the front spray deck onto both sides of your PFD. This setup helps with ventilation while still blocking most splashes.

Please note that this semi-open, ventilated configuration is recommended only for calm or flatwater conditions.

The E‑deck(Easy deck) can be fully detached from the boat. Below are its key features:

• The E deck can be fully opened on both sides and are secured with velcro for easy boarding.
• The deck offers three configurable modes to suit different weather conditions:

1. Fully open – ideal for summer or when no spray protection is needed.
2. Fully closed – suited for winter, cold, windy, or rainy days.
3. Front covered, rear open – secured with a PFD‑compatible waist belt; this keeps the front protected while allowing heat to escape from the rear in warmer but wet conditions.

The difference between this option and the D‑deck is that the D-deck cannot be completely removed—it can only be rolled up and secured at the bow, and it requires a separate spray skirt attachment (which is included with it).

Compared to the D‑deck, the E‑deck offers greater convenience and ease of use. However, the D‑deck provides better overall waterproof performance.

In warm conditions, the rear deck can be removed. Attach the clips of the securing straps to both sides of the PFD, then fasten the front deck spray skirt to the hook-and-loop (velcro) surfaces on the straps. This configuration provides improved ventilation to reduce heat buildup while still preventing most splashing water from entering the cockpit.

This new connection system has been tested and allows the spray skirt to be released quickly using the pull handle in the event of an accidental capsize.

Internal Storage Bag (ISS Models)

Instructions for Use

1.Put equal weight within each storage bag on either side of the packraft. As the bags cannot be accessed until deflation, only store items which do not require on-the-water access.

2.Put the luggage into the storage bag, fold the top of the bag, tighten the storage bag as much as possible, and then insert the buckle at the top opening.

3.Open the Tizip and put the storage bag inside the packraft tubes.

4. Unfasten the buckle at the top of the bag after the storage bags are inserted into the tubes, pass the buckles through the two tie downs and re-fasten the buckle.

Tie down fixings within the tubes can be used to fix the storage bags in place. This ensures that even as the packraft moves, the storage bags will not slide back and forth.

Water-filled footrest

Water stored inside the footrest adds weight to the lower bow, minimizing yaw and pitching during paddling. With less drag than a bow-mounted skeg, it delivers smoother and more efficient forward motion.

How to fill it with water:

1. Submerge the footrest in the water to scoop water inside. If the water level is low, use the paddle to assist.

2. Use the markings inside the footrest to estimate the desired water volume.

3. Fold and seal the end of the footrest.

4. Lay the footrest flat with the base of the hose at a relatively higher point.
Open the hose valve to release air. When the water level in the transparent hose exceeds approximately one-third of the hose height, close the valve.

5. Fold the end portion again and secure it tightly.

6. Place the footrest at the very front of the hull, pressing it firmly in place to serve as both ballast and a foot support.

The tail end of the water-filled footrest must be folded at least four times to ensure a proper seal.

Air should be released through the upper hose as completely as possible. If air is not removed, the water inside the footrest may slosh, which can significantly reduce stability.

Excess air inside the footrest may also increase the risk of ballast water leakage.
